About this app and who we are
Rookie Rollers (the "App", Android package au.com.memberpoint.bowls.rookierollers) is published on Google Play and the Apple App Store by DBL Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 97 125 815 929), Unit 35, 328 Reserve Road, Cheltenham VIC 3192, Australia, under the developer name Member Point ("we", "us").
We publish and maintain the App on behalf of Bowls Australia Limited (ABN 65 427 736 644) ("Bowls Australia"). The App provides resources for the Rookie Rollers program for students, teachers, coordinators and clubs.

No account or personal details needed
You do not need to create an account, sign in or provide your name, email address or any other personal details to use the App. The App does not access your contacts, photos, camera or microphone, and it does not use analytics, advertising or tracking services.
Information the App handles
The App downloads program resources from the Rookie Rollers website (rookierollers.bowls.com.au). When it does, the website's server receives standard technical information needed to deliver the content, such as your device's IP address and the App version. This is used only to deliver the content and keep the service secure, and is not used to identify you.
Location (optional): if you use the Find a Club feature and allow location access, the App gets your device's approximate location and sends it to BowlsLink, Bowls Australia's club and competition platform (hosted on Amazon Web Services in Australia), to find clubs near you. Your location is used only for that search. It is not stored, linked to you or shared, and the App does not track your location in the background. You can use the App without allowing location access, and you can turn it off at any time in your device settings.
The App also checks the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to see whether a newer version of the App is available.
Information stored on your device
The App stores a small amount of information on your device only, so it can remember your settings between visits: display preferences (such as dark mode and font size), resources you mark as favourites, whether you have seen the introduction screens, and any access code you enter to open protected resources. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us or anyone else.
How this information is used
Information is used only to deliver program resources and to make the App work as you would expect. It is not used for advertising, and the App does not display ads.
Sharing
We do not sell information or share it with advertisers or other third parties.
Security
Information is sent between the App and the Rookie Rollers website and BowlsLink over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Children
Rookie Rollers is a program for school students, and the App may be used by children, often with a teacher, coordinator or parent. Because the App does not require an account, does not ask for personal details and does not use analytics or advertising, it does not collect personal information from children. Location, if allowed, is approximate only and is used just to find nearby clubs.
Your choices
You can turn location access on or off at any time in your device settings. You can clear the information stored on your device at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
