About this app and who we are
BowlsLink Scoring (the "App", Android package au.com.memberpoint.bowls.digitalscorecard) is published on Google Play and the Apple App Store by DBL Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 97 125 815 929), Unit 35, 328 Reserve Road, Cheltenham VIC 3192, Australia, under the developer name Member Point ("we", "us").
We publish and maintain the App on behalf of Bowls Australia Limited (ABN 65 427 736 644) ("Bowls Australia"). The App connects to BowlsLink, Bowls Australia's membership and competition platform, which is developed and operated by [DBL Solutions Pty Ltd / Member Point Pty Ltd (ABN 71 614 777 141)] on behalf of Bowls Australia. Bowls Australia is responsible for the personal information held in BowlsLink.

Information the App handles
The App does not store personal information itself. It connects directly to BowlsLink, and the following information is sent to or retrieved from BowlsLink while you use it:
- Login details: your BowlsLink username or email address and password, sent to BowlsLink to sign you in.
- Account and competition information: your name and the clubs, competitions and matches you have access to, retrieved from BowlsLink so you can find your match.
- Match results you enter: end-by-end or total match scores, forfeits and unplayed matches (such as wash-outs or heat-outs), submitted to BowlsLink.
The App does not access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
How this information is used
This information is used only to sign you in, show the competitions and matches you can score, and record match results in BowlsLink.
Sharing
Results you submit are recorded in BowlsLink, where they are available to Bowls Australia, State and Territory associations and clubs, and may be published as competition results. We do not sell personal information or share it with advertisers.
Advertising and sponsorship
Some competitions may display advertising or sponsor content within the App, as arranged by Bowls Australia, State and Territory associations or competition organisers. This content is delivered through BowlsLink. Your personal information is not used to target advertising and is not shared with advertisers.
Storage, security and retention
All information is held in BowlsLink, not in the App. BowlsLink is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Australia, and information is sent between the App and BowlsLink over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Match results form part of the official competition record and are kept in line with Bowls Australia's requirements.
The App keeps a secure sign-in token on your device so you stay logged in. Signing out or uninstalling the App removes it.
Junior members
The App is intended for bowls club members, officials and, for junior members, their parents or guardians. Match results may include the names of junior players. Junior members' information is handled in line with the Bowls Australia Privacy Policy, including its provisions on collecting information about children from a parent or other responsible person.
Access, correction and deletion
Your BowlsLink account is managed through your club and Bowls Australia. To access or correct your personal information, or to request deletion of your account and associated data, contact your club or email us at [email protected]. Some information, such as official match results, may need to be kept as part of competition records.
